When installing a touch screen radio....?

I have a Power Acoustik 8.3" touch screen head unit, and it has 2 wiring harnesses. One for power, another for an audio amplifier and speakers, however the second one also has another wire for each of the power wires (battery,ignition,illumination,ect). Do i have to connect both wires for all things or no?
